Health Care Reform
On March 23, the president signed H.R. 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. A companion bill, H.R. 4872 the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act, was signed soon afterwards on March 30. Passage of broad health care legislation will eventually bring many changes to the nation's insurance, delivery, and reimbursement systems for medical practices, patients, and employers.
